A Romantic Oasis: Wedding in Palm Desert

The sun was beaming down on romantic oasis of the Living Desert, a wedding venue in Southern California. As guests flocked to this zoo venue filled with animals and exhibits, one couple was preparing to tie the knot. The venue offers private spaces for wedding ceremonies & receptions and was booked every weekend for the entire year of 2018. Although a popular place to seal the deal, the venue was a unique site for a desert wedding.

An empty dirt lot was transformed for the ceremony thanks to Modi Supply Rentals, who had supplied the beautiful aisle rugs and OC Fleurish Florals for the cacti and flowers. Also, thanks to the family who had built the geometrical ceremony arch that completed the scenery. Guests were given golden pom poms to cheer the couple down the aisle after their vows and exchanges of “I do’s.”

Guests were given surprise visits from some of the animals on the grounds. During cocktail hour giraffes popped their long necks in and the couple was able to feed them during their photo shoot.

Just a golf cart ride away was where the celebration continued for their reception. The space was transformed with tables and chairs set by The Living Desert, a Modi Supply lounge area and a stage where Pop Gun Rerun had set up for their 80’s cover band and DJ. Pastry Swan Bakery supplied a simple, but elegant cake.
